VCF Upgrade Services
VCF upgrade services for vSphere 7 and 8 estates: in-place, side-by-side and greenfield upgrade paths, interoperability checks, SDDC Manager lifecycle planning and low-risk cutovers.
vSphere 7 and 8 estates are running out of runway. We plan and deliver the move to VMware Cloud Foundation - choosing the right upgrade path, proving it in a pilot, then executing it without surprises.
vSphere 7 or 8 approaching end of support?
Book a free 30 minute upgrade assessment. We'll map your estate to the right VCF path and give you an honest view of effort, risk and cost.
Upgrade paths we support
- In-place upgrade - fastest where hardware, vSAN version and NSX are already compatible.
- Side-by-side - build a clean VCF instance and move workloads across with HCX or vMotion.
- Greenfield - new hardware and a new operating model, with a staged workload transition.
What's included
- Interoperability and compatibility checks - hardware HCL, firmware, drivers, vSAN on-disk format, NSX versions.
- Lifecycle planning with SDDC Manager bundles, sequencing and maintenance windows.
- Pilot upgrade of a non-production cluster to validate the runbook.
- Backout plan and documented rollback triggers for every phase.
- Production execution and post-upgrade health checks, with hypercare support.
Risks we remove
Unsupported firmware, undersized management domains, expired certificates and NSX version gaps are the four most common reasons a VCF upgrade stalls mid-flight. We surface all of them during assessment, not on the night of the change.
